3. A Brighter Future for 100 year old Estate Agents

The offices of Chesterfield’s leading independent estate agent Botham Mitchell Slaney had not been altered for years. In-fact the company has occupied the same premises for nearly a century! After commissioning Domino to design and carry out a full refurbishment the workspace has now been transformed into a bright and modern area that reflects Botham’s business outlook and provides the right platform to showcase their wide range of commercial and domestic properties.
Like all businesses Bothams could not afford an extensive shutdown for the work to be carried out and so to ensure minimum disruption we operated a compressed work programme starting on Friday night and working day and night over the weekend in time for a Monday morning opening.
Work included replacing the dark wooden veneered cladding and supplying a new suspended ceiling complete with an integrated louvre lighting system and track mounted spotlights for the work and display areas. Maple Karndean woodplank flooring and a full redecoration in light airy shades was complemented by brand new desks, chairs and visitor seating.

Green pin boards were replaced with tension wire displays with double sided acrylic poster holders to display property particulars. The Koala display system is quicker to operate, uses less space and the minimal design ensures that the focus is on the information displayed rather than on the display system (the name comes from the shape of the connections used to fix the display panels — resembling Koala paws grasping the branches of a eucalyptus tree).
